Did the Total Eclipse Freak You Out?
I didn't understand the hype until I saw what the eclipse did...
Over the last couple of weeks, some friends in my online group - with members across the US - were saying that schools would be closing for the total eclipse of the sun, and that warnings were being issued regarding highway/driving safety. Many of us were like, “So what’s the big deal?” It’s not like the United States hasn’t witnessed a solar eclipse before.
Then I saw a TikTok video from someone who filmed the eclipse in Texas and the hype suddenly became clear. Those states who were lucky enough to be in the path of the TOTAL eclipse LITERALLY experienced the night in the middle of the day. Things didn’t just dim or take on a surreal shade. The sky was dark as if it was midnight.
The FIRST thing that came to mind when I saw the video was the movie Ladyhawke. “A night without a day. A day without a night. Imperius!” I got chills! LOL I’m such a geek.
If you haven’t seen the movie Ladyhawke (1985) and you don’t know the quote, you’re missing out on a great romantic tale of true love overcoming evil. A genuine paranormal romance. Yeah, the soundtrack sucks, but look beyond the music. Starring Rutger Hauer, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Matthew Broderick. A MUST SEE!!
This Week’s Feature…
The past never dies; it only reloads.
Deputy Rileigh Bishop is no stranger to the darkness. For nearly 25 years after her sister’s disappearance, she’s been haunted by unsettling postcards, each marked with a smiley face. The latest one contains a single word: Home. Is it a hint… or a warning?
When a bullet strikes her car and sends her careening into a river, Rileigh barely escapes with her life.
Convinced that her sister’s disappearance, the postcards, and the assassination attempt are tied together, Rileigh and Mitch tear into cold cases, exposing bones that were better left buried.
Suicides that were murders.
The lies of people she trusted.
And a secret that will unravel everything.
But as Rileigh and Mitch dig deeper, they realize something else:
Rileigh isn’t the only target.
Someone close to her is in grave danger.
And the only way to save them is to unearth the past.
